Freedom tour

USA FREEDOM TOUR (18 Sep to 13 Oct 2015) turned out to be a wonderful tour with many people touched by the stories of the amazing freedom and restoration of our young Nepali girls from the darkness of sex-slavery. We met so many amazing people along the way that showed such hospitality, love and care to our entire team and we are so grateful. We made many new friends that want to engage in the fight against the injustice of human trafficking and the trade of young girls into sex-slavery.

The tour started in California when Grant Knisely the director for Code Red Films organized meetings and then took the team through Texas, Colorado, Minneapolis and Iowa. We had awareness meetings and fundraisers as well as church meetings and other gatherings. We also had special events at a couple of universities and attended a conference against human trafficking. The trip ended with the big Friday GALA NIGHT in Minneapolis 9 October and the Sunday in Westwind Church in Des Moines, Iowa on 11th October.

The big GALA NIGHT hosted by VENTURE EXPEDITIONS at International Market Place in downtown Minneapolis was fantastic with food, fellowship, music and testimonies. It was sold out with close to 450 people attending from different parts of USA. Many were touched by the work being done in Nepal through the work of Lighthouse Foundation. Hostels, half-way house, baby-centre, schools, college education, vocational training programs, organic farming, micro financing and more, are all part of the rescuing, restoration and prevention ministry to help more than 800 young girls and women in Kathmandu.

I am so glad for the friendship and partnership with Raju Sundas and Lighthouse from the very beginning with the start at Christmas 2009 when the first hostel for thirty girls was established.  What an incredible growth in six years! The small seed that we planted has grown to become a large tree.
